As an artist who constantly seeks new challenges and opportunities, Andrea Rama participated in the TalentLAB#17 in Luxembourg where he was mentored by celebrated French choreographer José Montalvo. The result of this lab, his duo 3,14 ? has since been successfully shown nationally and internationally and has given him a well-deserved breakthrough. A graduate of the National School of Dance in Athens, Andrea currently works and lives in between Luxembourg and Berlin. He intensely explores the dimension of time as a fundamental element of movement. In A Line Supreme , Andrea experiments with familiar linear movements taken from everyday life and therefore instantly recognisable for an audience. He intends to explore how feelings and senses are affected as, through movement, lines are lengthened in one area and at the same time reduced somewhere else.

A Line Supreme est une mise en perspective chorégraphiée de nos rapports à la linéarité. Nous sommes marqués, influencés par cette relation entre les lieux, que nous la subissions ou que nous la suscitions. Elle est à la fois objective, réalité mesurable, et subjective, impression ressentie. Clôturée par une frontière ou ouverte sur des horizons nouveaux, des libertés inattendues. Rythmée et lestée par la façon dont nous la parcourons. Les sports, et tous les déplacements qu’ils supposent, sont une excellente métaphore de notre rapport à cette linéarité et à ses implications.

[DE] In seinem Stück A Line Supreme setzt sich Andrea Rama mit linearen Bewegungen auseinander. Die Produktion räumt Musik und Bewegung den gleichen Stellenwert ein. Komponist Iván Solano und Choreograph Andrea Rama erschaffen ein Konzert der Körper und Objekte, in dem Bewegung und Musik auf der Bühne in einem kontinuierlichen Austausch mit endlosen Interpretationsmöglichkeiten stehen.

Der in Luxemburg und Berlin lebende Tänzer und Choreograph hat in Athen zeitgenössischen Tanz studiert und zusammen mit Xeni Alexandrou die Kompanie Porson’s Khashoggi gegründet. Seit sechs Jahren entwickelt Rama das Konzept „Opening Possibilities“, das er auch an Tanzkompanien und Regisseuren vermittelt. Als Tänzer arbeitete er unter anderem mit Sasha Waltz & Guests, Anton Lachky, Fang-Yu Shen und MS Schrittmacher. Andrea Rama nahm am TalentLAB#17 teil und kreierte, unterstützt von seinem Mentor José Montalvo, das Stück 3,14 ? .
