Triennale Jeune Création Luxembourg et Grande Région, 5th edition
The fifth edition of the Triennale, due to be held in summer 2020, was meant to give millennials (a generation having never known a world without the internet) a chance to express the way they perceive current society and the future. No one was expecting a pandemic that would bring the planet to a standstill, eliminate the possibility of physical contact, and push the use of social media to an extreme. The curator of the exhibition, Kevin Muhlen, director of the Casino Luxembourg – Forum d’Art Contemporain, did not have all that in mind when he proposed the theme of “Brave New World Order” in November 2019.
In that context, the initial exhibition presenting the work of the 40 selected artists and collectives was, of course, unable to take place. So, in order to remain true to its mission to develop the art scene in the Greater Region, the Triennale moved online, inviting artists to exchange ideas and share the stages of their work via a digital platform, bravenewworldorder.lu.
Since May 2020, this network of artists has been growing, watched by the visitors to the site, and will continue to develop online until summer 2021. That’s when the collective exhibition can finally take place and the millennials can offer us their vision of a truly, completely, absolutely new world order.

Brave New World Order
